RE: School closure for Year 8 and 9 students – Thursday 2nd December 2021 until Friday 3rd December 2021. Return to school Monday 6th December 2021.
Dear Parents/Carers,
Over the last two weeks we have seen an increase in the number of COVID 19 cases in school, this reflects the increase in our community and nationally. In total, we currently have 22 members of staff who are unable to attend work.
The safety of students and staff is always our first priority. Unfortunately, we have reached a position where I feel we will not have sufficient numbers of staff on site to provide lessons in school for all year groups. We have reviewed our risk assessment for such circumstances, and I have discussed this with my Chair of Governors, and we feel we have no alternative but to move to remote learning for two year groups. Year 8 and Year 9 students will therefore work from home and access online learning on Thursday 2ndDecember 2021 and Friday 3rd December 2021. I will update parents on Friday but it is hoped all students will be able to return on Monday 6th December.
Arrangements are in place to teach Year 8 and 9 students remotely. Teachers will be teaching live lessons online and students will follow their normal timetable from home.

FORM: 8.50 – 9.15
P1 – 915 – 10.10
Break 10.10 – 10.45
P2 – 10.45 – 11.40
Lunch 11.40 – 12.30
P3 – 12.30 – 1.25
Break – 1.25 – 1.45
P4 – 1.45 – 2.40
