At Oldbury Academy, we believe in working closely with our local primary schools to develop strong links and a robust process to aid the transition from primary to secondary school.
Our local feeder schools are:
– Moat Farm Junior School
– Causeway Green Primary School
– Annie Lennards Primary School
– Uplands Manor Primary School
– Langley Primary School
– Bleakhouse Primary School
– Blackheath Primary School
– Rood End Primary School
– St. James’ Primary School
– Brandhall Primary School
Mr Shackleton and his senior leaders have visited the schools listed above, and met with their senior leaders to see how we can develop the transition process further. We are extremely excited to work with these schools to help nurture their students and also allowing their students to feel safe, happy and well informed, about coming to secondary school. Choosing a secondary school for your child is a tough decision, especially with a lot of different secondary schools in the area, which is the reason we want to become a familiar part of the primary school family.
Each year we work really hard to promote our wonderful school. Activities we lead include, Taster Sessions, Sports Activities, Expressive Arts Performances and also we look to have a representative from Oldbury Academy at the local Key Stage 2 parents evenings. Our annual open period is in September, but in our recent primary engagement plan, we aim to hold several open mornings throughout the year for you to experience our wonderful school.
If you require any more information, please feel free to get in touch.
