Students and staff are celebrating at Oldbury Academy after receiving an excellent set of KS5 results! Students achieved a pass rate (A*-E) of 94.1%, and 100% of students’ entering higher education, employment or further training. In vocational subjects, 28% of grades were Distinction* or Distinction. The average A Level grade is C- and 17.4% of the grades were A*-B.
Headteacher, Mr Philip Shackleton said, ‘Congratulations to all of our students, who have given their absolute all to achieve an excellent set of results. For many of these students, this is the culmination of the seven-year journey and they are incredible ambassadors for our school and community. I would like to wish all of our students the very best in their next steps.’ Head of Sixth Form, Miss Danielle Payne commented, ‘The students have worked incredibly hard and these results are just rewards for their efforts. They have been a delight to teach and we will miss them greatly. I look forward to hearing of their success stories in the future!’
Special mention should go to Fiza Mahmood who achieved grades A*, B, C and Mike Nascimento who achieved a Distinction*, 2 x Distinctions and a grade A.
