Important Update about GCSE Grades

As you may or may not be aware, the Department for Education (DfE) have changed the way that students are assessed. This year (2017) students will leave with a grade between 9-1 in English and Mathematics, and this will be for all subjects from 2018. This short video will explain these changes to you.   • At A Level A*-B we have achieved 33% compared to 18% in 2016. A 15% increase.
  • Applied General Distinction*-Distinction we have achieved 87% compared to 79% in 2016. An 8% increase.
  • The A*-E pass rate (including BTEC equivalents) is 98% up from 94% in 2016. A 4% increase.
  • A Level value added score – 0.46
