Parents and carers are welcome to join us for this celebration of our students’ hard work!
Students at Oldbury Academy are celebrating after achieving a series of excellent results in this years Key Stage 4 Results. This year saw the introduction of the Government’s new grading system (Grades 1-9) in English and Mathematics, and we are overjoyed that several of our students received the top grade over the two subjects. 61% of students achieved a good pass in English, whilst 57% of students hit this mark in Mathematics.
Headteacher Philip Shackleton said, ‘This year saw the introduction of tougher GCSE qualifications, which has presented our students with more rigorous challenges to overcome, so I am very pleased to see many of students doing so well in a variety of subjects. I would like to congratulate our students for their hard work, and wish them the very best in their future endeavours.’
